Due to the new catch fence, there were very few spots to get fence free images.

Nice shots around the fencing. I know it was a requirement, but IMO the fencing took off a lot of Barber's luster. The track and park flowed smoothly before those fences, and now its tough to not have them in your view if you are a spectator or photographer.

I have to agree...the fences are a real shame. Hopefully IRL didn't like going around in a line there enough that they won't come back, and the fences can come down.

Yah... wonder if it was just Grand Am would they fences be there? I was able to shoot around it. Not too terrible.

in years past, with just Grand Am, there were no fences. But with open wheel cars, the chances of a car getting airborn are so much higher. I understand now that is is temporary.

My e30 is almost finished with the swap. Couple small things and I will sign up for the next event. Drive down from Alpharetta.

I was told both by someone who works there and read on a website that the fences were just for the Indy car races. its 100% removable and that Mr. Barber wouldnt leave it up year round. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I am really glad to hear that, I like shooting there when I drive, and would be bummed if those fences were permanent, they take away some great spots.
