This question isn't so much about D.C., but proper packing.
I am meeting with some Congressmen with a group from 9am to 2pm...multiple rooms within the Capitol Building and Senate offices. This is not a sightseeing trip.
I will be wearing a suit and not staying overnight.
I was planning on bringing my T1i and Tamron f/2.8 17-50 lens along with a very small flash all within a small Velocity 6X Tamrac bag.
I have decided to leave the following items at home:
vertical grip
430 EX flash
Canon 24-105 L lens
Canon 10-22 lens
Blackrapid strapI don't relish the thought of carrying the Tamrac bag around, but I think it is better than leaving my camera unprotected especially going through security. I will leave the Blackrapid strap at home since I won't need the bag and the BR strap.
I think the 2.8 lens is better than the Canon f/4 because most shots will be indoors.
Any other suggestions or advice for this type of quick trip?
Thanks,
Matt
