I love this lens. I can take pictures in the darkest rooms of my house hand held without a flash. Makes for some nice natural looking pictures!

Anyway, on to the bokeh! I did absolutely nothing to this image except crop it. BTW-I didn't even notice the spider webs on there until I looked at the image in Photoshop.

Hopefully, you don't have any trouble with this link...

Thanks for all of you who encouraged me to buy it! :)

I have both of those lenses and this one is much much faster. Build quality isn't on par with the 17-40 but it is so fast and I'm really pleased with the image quality.

BTW-That disk in the photo is part of a wind chime in my backyard. That disk is about as big around as the lens cap on my 17-40 lens.

I just got mine yesterday. You can actually see the bokeh when you look through the viewfinder.
Pure cream!

Crank up the ISO a little bit and you can almost take pictures in the dark.

I'm gonna like this lens.

Some of my son's artwork. I like this one, everyone in his class glued their macaroni laying down flat on the paper. All his are standing straight up. He's 3 years old.

Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/800
Av( Aperture Value ) 5.6
ISO Speed 100
Flash Off
Shot handheld in my backyard a few minutes ago under the shade of a patio cover.
I had to lower the image quality of the pic a bit to get it under 100k.
