Apologies no pictures embeded here, all in the blog:

It was absolutely freezing on this day, but we had a blast around South London taking these shots.

Appreciate any feedback and comments.

Thanks,

Sunny

Good job, but quite a few of them look soft.

I'm finding that with the 5D Mark2, if there's any movement even at "normally" acceptable shutter speeds the high res shows movement. This results in softness.

Anyone else found this?

what a shame, they do look soft, but beautifully composed. I have no experience of a 5dmkII ( I use the original 5d). I try and shoot at 1/125 with FL's up to 105 mm with IS turned on and seem pretty sharp..try on an other 5dmkII body, perhaps?

I've got two bodies and I've found on both: shake shows much more (due to the hiher res) than on the 5D mark1. I can hand hold 1/60 on my 24-105@105mm with the IS (on the 5D mark1), but on the 5Dmk2 it will show movement in full resolution.

I agree if you get your shutter even higher, than you get wonderfully sharp images from the 5D Mark2.

Sunny

I haven't experienced that. And just moved up to a Mark II. But maybe I haven't shot enough with it, but my photos were amazingly sharp.

From my experience, this happens only when shooting at the lowest shutter speed - you "used" to be able to hold.
