I saw this and thought it was unusual. What do you think?

I love the shots
can't complain
sorry : )
very clear and precise, with such detail
again the magic word comes to mind.......
'interesting' !
the wheel looks like a much larger version of sewing machine wheel. ( for rope pulling ? )
the water , especially in the first shot looks delicious : )
a lovely time of day , near 'setting sun' time ?
(when you took the pictures)
or maybe it was early morning
either way , very nice shots and very well taken
thanks

Thanks Marie.
It's actually part of a sculpture - in honour of the industrial past of Salford Quays. Looks like part of an old train or something.

To the best of my knowledge i think it was part of a main engine that operated out of the EWS ( English Wales Scottich Railways ) Yard at Old Trafford !
And i think the Manchester Locomotive Musuem (Museum of Science and Industry ) on Deansgate used to have similar items in there museum too !
Great shot tho...
Also I like your Lowry Shots too and can tblame you for not wanting to hang around near good ole Ordsall at night ! safest in the mornings when all the bad boy yardies are still tucked up in bed ;)
Keep up the good work

I'll bow to your greater knowledge.
So you know the area then? You'll know that wandering up and down the canal with a camera during the evening is a sure fire way to end up mugged.

I think the background is very distracting. Did you try to blur it in PS? The subject is interesting enough to make a better serie than you have now.

I hadn't tried that - but now that you have suggested it I will.
