Hi people,

It is also me who ends up with such a question, and I was hoping the kind community could tell me what they think.
Why this thread? I am planning to atleast register a domain name soon, and for this I need a proper working name. Also a big plus, once I know what domain name I am going to use, I also can start working on businesscards.

So here it goes.

My full name is Thomas de Wit. To me, the 'de' in De Wit just doesn't seem to roll that easily. What I was thinking was to leave the de out of the picture. Just to change it to ThomasWit.com, or ThomasWitPhoto.. You get the point.

I'd love to hear a couple of opinions about this. I know a couple of people on this forum use a businessname, which is either linked to their own name or which is a whole other name.

Thanks in advance!

Certainly of the two options you list, IMO ThomasWit.com is preferable. The shorter the better, and in this case adding "photo" does nothing for you. But I would take issue with leaving out the "de", actually. If folks know your name, and are trying to remember your url, won't they all tend to include the "de"? I would think so. So unless you're actually thinking of changing your name to Thomas Wit, I would vote for ThomasDeWit.com, if it is available.

You do have a point there. Sadly, after just checking, Thomasdewit.com is unavailable.. It is registered to another person with thesame name who shares all his 433 photo's from his grandparents party on it. So that's a bit of a bummer..

Thanks for your reaction though, really appreciate it!
