I haven't seen anything posted from this event yet, so I thought I'd post a couple of photos I took while I was out for a few of the Friday afternoon practice sessions. This was my first time out at the track in well over a year and my first time shooting with a rented 100-400 L lens (loved it).
I was a bit off my game since I'm a bit out of practice and I'm kicking myself for not paying more attention to my shutter speeds (too high on the panning shots). C&C welcome!

I love the movement these shots capture, the glowing brakes and the last phot are fantastic, Ferrari's being used for what they should be used for.

I really like all three of them. The movement shots were pretty awesome.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
Photo 3 is definitely my favorite of the whole group, but I wish it was a little sharper. I'm not sure if that's due to not having a good focus on the car or if I was still trying to zoom when I hit the shutter button.
I'm probably most disappointed with photo 2. It could have been so much better with a slower shutter speed. However, the light on that section of track (between turns #12 and #13 in the east course configuration) (http://millermotorsportspark.com/uploads/MMPEastCourse.jpg) puts that side of the car in the shadows so I'm not sure how much better it would have been. Oh well, live and learn and do better the next time. Oh, and get to the track earlier next time. ;)

I was able to head out on Saturday to watch a few of the sessions, it was great fun and Miller Motorsports park is a nice track. Nothing great to share in the panning department but I'll post anyway.

I really like #3 the most of the set, best exposure, comp, background, well done. I wish the FC was coming back to Road Atlanta this year...
