Hi, I only recently bought an SLR camera and here are a few of my first efforts I took at the Bluebell Railway in the UK...I am new to the forum and think it is a superb source of knowledge and creative ideas.

Like them both fizzbang, works well in B&W - how did you convert?
On my monitor both seem to show lots of JPEG artifacts - what compression did you use to post? Any chance of a link to a bigger version?

Forgot to ask...
Where is the Bluebell Railway and what do you think of the Sigma 18-200??

Hi,
Bluebell Railway is in the UK - http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/bluebell/bluebell.html
I am slowly getting to grips with DSLR lenses and post processing so the Sigma 18-200mm caused me a few problems at first with its apertures..6.3 is pretty hardwork to gain a decent speed out of at the long end and on days where light is not good it can be frustrating...but with some exposure compensation and ISO raising it can be overcome..
I also found it a bit noisy when Auto focusing..but nothing alarming...It is an excellent lens in good light but I am not 100% sure I would recommend it.
I used PaintshopPro to compress, would happily send you the full size for further scrutiny.

I like the train shot. The black and white treatment looks good on it.
