this was my first wedding, such a gorgeous family with no exceptions. I'm happiest with the shots from the quieter part of the day, the rest are on flickr www.flickr.com/nzamanda if anyone's interested..c and c welcome.

1. Doesn't really do anything for me, I get the concept of showing motion but it doesn't really work for me.
2. Everyone's face is pretty expressionless which kinda ruins the shot for me.
3. I kinda like it but its not telling enough of a story for me to really like it,
4. She is wearing a picture frame for a hat and her expression kinda kils it for me
5. Would have been better shot a couple of feet to the left so it told more of a story about her hair being done imo.
6. People very rarely like pictures of themselves eating.
7. Its a nice captured expression from the Bridesmaid, would have been even better shot a foot to the left imo.
8. The light is very unkind to her skin, pic doesn't really tell a story, was it posed was she talking to someone, I cant tell from the pic.

I tend to agree with the above poster.
#5 is the most interesting out of the lot you're posted here. You'll want some consistency to your WB and PP style. All over the shop isn't very appealing.
I particularly like this one (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nzamanda/4522248595/) from your flickr set.
You've gotten quite low with the UWA and some of them don't work for me. I'm not a fan up looking up people's legs and onto their bums. This one (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nzamanda/4522882838/) also is not what I'd be comfortable with.
Sorry for the negativity. But I'm calling it as I see it.

Jon is right, though I quite like #1. Planned or did it just happen?

maybe not for a paid gig, but keep shooting for free if you can. You can only get better. I'm in the same boat! :)

Me too!! I "Fav'd" it!
and for the record, i like #1 :) but agree with the rest of the comments. When shooting a wedding, in this manner, you must be patient and wait for the expression... it will come :) you wont' regret waiting.
