I agree with Witchy, nice coloring and the 2nd one is composed very well.

Both are nice shots of the male 12 spotted skimmer. I like the first one better as the perch is less cluttered, These are tough ones to get this clean of a shot on so I have to congratulate you on getting shots this nice of this species here. Backgrounds are about the best I have seen on any shots of this species also.

That is a some what soft looking image of a Halloween pennant, male almost sexually mature here in this shot, Not sure what the HAHAHAHA are for but if it makes you feel good to laugh then go for it.

Handheld while kneeling. http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
He would stay there long enough to get two shots off then fly away, but came right back to give me some more... http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

WOW. I've been toying with getting the TC (is it 18x combined zoom?), but I think macro might be more important to me. Either way, at least now I have a good idea of how well this lens works.
Did you have to change any of the settings (increase iso, exposure, fstop, etc)? I find that with the 12x zoom, pictures often come out looking either washed out or slightly blurry.
