Greetings,

Here's something a little different for a photography forum... :p

I'm a freelance Product Designer with 15 years worth of products I've designed that are currently on Pro/Engineer and SolidWorks CAD programs.

I'd like to find someone who is proficient at PhotoWorks or Photoview 360 or Hypershot or (insert your 3d capable software here) who can take my CAD files in native formats or IGES or STEP and create photo-realistic images from them. The end result would be a few angles of each product as if they were photographed in a studio setting.

The ideal person would be along the lines of a college student who can make in the range of $20-$25/hr or charge a fee per product.

Thanks! PM me or respond here.

Most CAD systems do have a rendering package available. I've seen some incredible stuff come out of these renderings.

I have a friend who is pretty good with renderings of CAD models, if you want me to put you in touch with him.

Hello Randy,

Are you looking for realistic 3D renders? I'm not sure if I can import CAD models but if you can export to .obj format, I can probably take it into the 3D program that I use and do a scene render for you. If you can describe precisely what you are modeling and how complex it is, maybe you I can help =D
