Here's the deal. I have the second shoot of a High School Senior tomorrow. It will be located on her high school field and it will be challenging for me for the following reasons:
1) She is a catcher and is a stocky girl. (Not that big of a deal)
As reference to what she looks like http://photocamel.com/forum/portraits-people/104083-becca-senior-2010-lake-sunset.html (http://photocamel.com/forum/104083-becca-senior-2010-lake-sunset.html)
2) Heres where it gets rough. I have 30 minutes, 45 tops.
3) The 30-45 minutes will be from 3:30-4:00pm. Weather prediction is Mostly Sunny.
Need some posing ideas. I wasnt worried about it till I was told I had 30 minutes. The good news is it will be before their first game and the field will be chalked, drug, and bases in place. The field faces north (home plate south, center field north). The sun will be approximately at 10 o'clock when looking straight up to the heavens from home plate.
Dugouts will be facing north and east both covered but the North will be shaded inside, the east will be sun directly into the dugout. (I know, my daughter has played on this field for two years).
Have looked and looked for portrait style poses of softball players. All I can find are the cheesy but traditional shots like bat across shoulder, tossing the ball up (I actually like those two, but looking for something different) and just standing around poses.
One shot her mother wants is shooting through the backstop with her at home plate showing the diamond with the saying "diamonds are a girls best friend." The rest are up to me......us.
I want to end with a close up shot of her face with her catchers mask on in a high contrast processing. She has very pretty eyes and I am hoping I can make them pop.
As usual with any beginner, I am wanting at least a few great shots because the whole team will be there goofing around and wishing they were getting theirs done too. You get the point.
Any other ideas/suggestions?
