Darn it, you beat me to it! :D
I got almost identical birds at a medieval Joust in Montrose NE Scotland today!
Nice shots!

Both are great, especially the owl shot.

I'm really pleased with the owl. I'm pleased with the way the sunlight is coming through his feathers.

very cool shots .............. the owl is a great horned owl........... majestic looking beast and you did a great job capturing him...... only thing i would have done is crop the eagle one so that you can't see his feet are tethered..........
bach have you seen any golden eagles up in your neck of the woods?......
the highlands have the largest population on earth of goldens per land mass.......
I've seen a few on fishing trips and stuff but i only ever take a snapshot camera on fishing trips..... (don't want to go dropping the eos into some river)

I have seen them in the wild on my travels but just don't have the lens to get them.
I did however get some real captive beauties today...I won't hijack this thread, I'll post them elsewhere when I've finished PS'ing them :)
