This is the falls at the Hopkinton dam on the Contoocook River. Comments and criticisms welcome.

I noticed the blured background right away. Its very obvious that you did this in post processing. If you had used a shallower depth of field I don't think it would have messed up the picture at all and would have blured the background out for you. Maybe focus on the tree in the middle and let the falls by your feet and on the other side of the tree fall out of focus. Also, try using a longer shutter speed to blur the cascade a bit. It looks like a nice location, if its close by try to shoot it again some time.

can't look at the pic long enough.. ;)

but l think I agree with Mr. Frog here about the DOF... and the much too obvious background blur.
(something I also have to work on.. hmm.. maybe an F1.x lens??)

Not exactly a "branch," it might be deceiving from the original angle, but it was actually a huge old oak.

How big are the falls? The first pic is very deceiving after seeing the second pic.........Joe

Not sure exactly. It's not Niagara Falls, but as you can tell the scale a bit better given that the oak was huge.
