A Giant Robber Fly with prey. I somehow managed to accidentally put the 20D into B&W mode this day, but was able to get the color back in post-processing. Yet another reason to shoot RAW...

Nice robberfly shot here and with prey also. I think the image would be stronger if you had placed the subject to the right of the frame giving more room in front of the subject here.

I've only been shooting with an SLR now for about a month. Have yet to shoot in RAW. I'm scared. HAHAHA

I'm not big on bugs but that is one of the coolest shots i have seen awesome work

I actually cropped all that out. There was nothing on the left side of the picture (in front of the fly), and the big empty space looked too distracting to the image so I cropped it.

That's a real beauty of a shot.. the grey color of the dried cedar and the bug go so well together. Excellent!
