Hi Chisholm,
Thanks for the variety ,and putting in wider shots.

I like the set,but some of these look over exposed and over sharpened.

2 is my favourite.

Good varied selection of shots there Chisholm, well planned but agree with Pons first three look a bit harsh with the lighting/exposure maybe.

Thanks Mikey_mac,
Youre right, I had them over-sharpened to bits, they look better now that ive softened them up. Will post a variation of one of them to give a comparison.

Definitely much more civilised looking now Chisholm, nr 1 much improved along with the metro shot.

Thanks man.......theres still something not right about the wider shot, I think I needed to have the car in focus, rather than the surroundings, ho-hum, you learn a new thing every day

I think the problem is that they are great shots, but not technically that good which you have tried to correct in PS ,and as a result they look over processed and unatural.
The dust can work for you and against, and can spoil shots, and has affected some of these.

It can be mighty hard out on the stages, but processing is also very tricky sometimes ,and something I struggle with at times.

However,a really spot on image will require little and that is always the aim.
Getting it right in camera is the no 1 objective.

Thanks Chris,

I wish I did have PS but I dont unfortunately ( not yet anyway ), all I did was adjust the sharpness and contrast etc on the resizing software I use ( too much in the 1st instance ), but as you say, the shots werent right in the camera, I'd just climbed a 1/4 mile hill from the car park at quite a rate of knots, just before the 4wd guys came thru and wasnt as ready as I would have liked, standing panting like an old horse, thats why those first ones are as they are obviously......
I've only been on this site a wee while, but Chris, you are the don of the brutally honest comment, and if some of my shots to you are great, but not that technically good, then, hell, thats good enough for me, and gives me stimulus to get better as this year progresses...... watch this space....
