HDR 'look' for wildlife?

I took some great shots of a wild hawk. As much as I like natural. I was thinking of 'tricking' it up a bit. Does anyone have experience doing this? And if so could you post with how/why you did it? Thanks

several nice CS4 plug-ins can give that HDR look... such as Topaz Adjust ...

I'm waiting for my ordered C5. What about the other HDR plug in for aperture that I sometimes see (photomatrix?)
