was your flash diffused? a couple of them seem to have the flash pointed directly at them.

These photos look more like snapshots to me. Perhaps you could either use a longer lens or shallower depth of field? Looks like the pop up flash on camera was used as well. The fill light is overly harsh and overdone. Shadows are too harsh as well.

In photo #5, make sure your subjects aren't posed for an 'upskirt' shot. Putting her more of a side angle would emphasize her pregnancy (a good thing) and minimize the knees pointing at the camera. Also in #4 and #5, try not to cut your subjects off at the feet. Either include all of them or crop them tighter as you did in some of the others. Never cut off hands, fingers, feet or toes, or even ankles and wrists.

Next time, perhaps you could take them at a later time of day? Then your ambient light would be much softer and if you diffuse your flash, overall effect would be much more pleasing, I think. ;)

it looks like you used fillflash, may i suggest a wider aperture and no flash at all?...seems like it was a bright enough day to be able to do this with plenty of shade from the trees around them, also it wouldnt hurt if you attempted to process these a little more than just a B&W preset, just to make them pop more...keep up the practice, shooting bellies is soooo much fun!

I agree about shallower DOF and on camera flash - your photography will be on a different level when you start separating your subjects. Also watch for busy backgrounds - poles, wires, trees really distract from subjects.

The good thing is they look comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy themselves.

i like ur work, and i agree with the harsh lighting. the last image lacks something, but it's a good composition. perhaps a smaller crop that emphasizes the pregnancy and their expressions for each other.
