My galleries are posted at :

I have had my G1 since May, and am re-training myself on the techniques I learned in high school (1987).
I am looking for constructive criticism on my composition techniques, interest level of the photos, and tips for future galleries.
Much thanks,
Tim
Tim:
Nice photos, nice site! While not my style (I don't use frames so navigation is much more "linear"), it's easy to view your photos and they load quickly.
Your images seem to be very personal, which is wonderful, and perhaps the primary reason for having a camera, taking photos, and publishing them on the internet (so that family and friends can view them.) You specifically asked about the interest level of your photos. I did not find them especially interesting myself, but that is a purely individual thing, and many other viewers may find the images quite interesting. The compositions are not especially "artistic" or different, or interesting, other than perhaps the bridge/flyover at a 45 deg. angle in your latest gallery. I would suggest you review the "rule of thirds" as the most basic compositional technique, even though, like all rules, it is wonderful when broken.
It may be due to massive compression, but your images seem soft and even blurry, especially given the capabilities of the G1. It seems as if you are doing very little processing of the captured images, which is OK, but consider that it's the end image we all see.
For inspiration, I would suggest you visit some of the great photo image sites available on the web. Of course there's photo.net, but also many personal sites such as those in Pekka's list of links.
Please take these comments in the spirit they are given: you asked for them, and I give them in the hope you will keep working with your camera and processing software to produce images that are satisfying to you, your family, and friends.
cheers,
