:o Hi & Help

Have just upgraded my digital camera & purchased the Canon PowerShot S2IS & with it amongst the software was the fabulous PhotoRecord 2. Have been having a lovely time collating existing & new shots into a photo album in PhotoRecord 2 but tragedy strikes when I try to print - nothing happens!

The hourglass stays on screen for hours (yes, literally, it's not just frustration making me exaggerate here). Occasionally & randomly, the printer screen will pop up instead, but this will just stay "spooling" for hours, no printing still.

Generally another window will then pop up with "Server Busy" & then I have to resort to Windows task Manager to shut the entire program down (this also takes forever with message system not responding). Task manager shows PhotoRecord program as running but pop up box always comes up as "not responding" when I have to shut down this way with this program?

I can't even print one PhotoRecord album page of only 9kb. Have tested my printer with other programs, all fine and have checked system requirements which are way above minimum so am at a loss as to what to do.

I've system restored, twice, & reloaded the software. Still nothing....feeling dumb, wishing I hadn't converted to Canon  , but that's probably just frustration

Help!

hmm. maybe uninstall and reinstall photo record? rebuild the database? uninstall the program with add/remove programs in the control panel and then delete the program folder and reinstall. What's your computer specs as far as cpu and memory ?

Hmm, have done all that, except rebuilding which I don't want to do, but thanks anyway as you gave me another idea. I searched the Canon printer helpsite for similar errors and aha, it is a printer problem (I think) as I discovered that Canon released a patch which describes my precise problem and error message. Now, just have to see if HP have something similar! Or I guess it may be time to upgrade the printer too!

O.k., it definately was frustration earlier - had a precious hour this afternoon to "play" in the great Aussie outdoors & take a few snaps. Looove the camera!

Thanks again
