I'm starting a shoe brand and I'm about to take photos of my shoes but need to know if there are some certian rules when it comes to shoe photography? Do you shoot the smallest size possible? Or a slightly bigger than a normal one? What looks best, or more proportionate?

All depends what you're going for, and what you're going to be using them for. I'd shoot large.

You'll shoot what stores typically display - which should also be your development size - most likely.

Men's market is typically 8-10 M US
Women's is typically 7 W US
Kids - I have no idea. I'd probably shoot a 2 for boys and girls.
Toddlers and babies - can't even venture a guess.

shoes dont look the same when they are an average size compared to large sizes.

They always look worse to me in 12's, 13's and larger...

i would stick with 8-10 like said above

8-10, with 9 being ideal
