The opening round of the Prodrift 2010 championship, took place in Fermoy at the weekend. James Deane took the win, after just returning from driving the Falken S15 to the great 8 in Formula D in long beach.

Some great smoke in #2!

Interesting crops, a bit too tight for me - then again I know nothing about shooting race cars.

Gotta question though: why on earth convert an FD RX-7 to an SR20 engine?

Having owned and driven several SR20 turbo Nissans (good power) and having recently driven my brothers FD RX-7 (waaaayyy more power) I can't believe someone would swap a rotary for a 4 cylinder!!!!!

I think its a case it was what he knows, he competed with S14 Silvia with the same engine and took both the Irish and European Prodrift Series in 2008. He then swapped the SR20 for a RB26 for more power for the Redbull world drift championship, but had a bit of an impact with the wall in the S14. so for the 2009 Prodrift series he used a RX7 shell that he had and but his old SR20 into it.

Thats a Nissan S13 Silvia (Assuming you are talking about the black car). Although, unsure what they call them in the States. RPS13, 240sx/180sx i don't know lol.
