Hi John

Really like #2..... can`t work out where this was taken from ??

These all with your 50 - 500 again ?? How you finding that lens ? Pics look great

The 50-500mm is excellent.
There are times when I wish it was a bit brighter and focussed a bit quicker, but you work with what you have. As an amateur a £500 lens does 95% of the job of the guys with the multi thousand pound white primes and I'm happy enough with that.

IS would be nice (the new 50-500mm does have it) and it would be excellent if it didn't suffer from zoom creep (this is its worst feature for me).

I've been using it with a 20D for the last five years, but yesterday I went out and bought myself a 1Ds MkII. So I've given myself a new learning curve for the Pirelli Rally at Kielder this weekend.
