Went shooting in downtown Dallas today and was experimenting with IR and the 20D
Here are my best results. 30 seconds at f/5 100 iso.
A little post processing in photoshop with levels and hues.
Thanks to the info from Duder, lopix, Homer and TeddyLovessss I was able to cut corners
and get some good results.

Second one is pretty cool. The first one looks like a nightmare or dream world. The third one is cool too. Nice job.

I agree the first one looks like something from a bad dream. It's also my favorite. Nice shots...

Help me out here. I assume IR stands for infra red? Is that the same thing as inverting?

Infrared light is the light just beyond the visible spectrum. Nothing to do with inverting or negatives.

ok, so i've been looking at everyones awsome ir stuff. now how do you get the colors you do??? mine are always just black and white, is this a lot of post processing?? or am i missing something here. if its post processing can someone please link me up with a good tutorial, or post one please. well thanx!

Used the R72 filter.
There are at least three other threads I think on page 3 or 4 of the guys who are really good at this.
They have posted a lot of info on how they went about it.
There is a lot of post process that goes on to get the image looking good.
