I am looking for info on a large set of Koi windsocks that I have. You posted a picture of Koi on the blowing in the wind challenge, yours entitled swimming upstream. Here is a picture of the set of 3 Koi and also the windsock that came with it. The Koi are 5m, 6m, and 7m in length. The windsock is also 7m long. This is a very large set of Koi. I haven't found anyone in our kite group who have even seen a set of Carp windsocks this large. Can you help me find a value on them? Looks like they were made by Fujisawa Co. and were a gift from Japan to a city in England.
Thanks for your help.
Feel free to email me at skysailkites@sbcglobal.net

Hi John and .. John,

I don't know if this is the information you wanted, but this site lists koi nobori, similar to the ones in the photo, with prices. http://www.tokyoku.co.jp/koi.html

Looking at it, for the same sized ones as you have, it would cost somewhere between 200,000 and 300,000 yen (without the pole).

Regards,
Sek.

In Japan, I got your email yesterday and also sent you an email. I appreciate all the help from everyone. My large set of Koi is starting to look like I got a pretty good deal on them. I didn't mention, I also have the pole, pulleys, ropes and decorative top. I almost feel bad that I only paid $70 for the entire set. I said ALMOST! I checked out the site that SEK left, looks great but I'm guessing there isn't an English button to click. This will end up as a photo thread as I will post pictures of them flying off of my 19' delta. John

Thanks Sekabin for posting the website. I had no idea they were so expensive, did you? Anyway, here are a couple of English websites for those of you who might be interested in purchasing some. I can't vouch for any of these sites, I simply did a couple google searches. I think their prices are a bit high, so I'll continue to search for cheaper sites. I'll let you know if I find some.
