Bob's very nice '63 Plymouth Sport Fury has a 426 Max Wedge with a cross ram intake. It's an exact clone of the13 cars built by the factory to run Super Stock in the 1963 drag circuit, so he's also running the 13.5:1 compression ratio!

Oh my god .. the horror.. I am tempted to abuse my Mod powers to split that riceburner out of this thread!
On another subject.. Nice shots of the classic!
You can add me to the list of "wish I'd never sold"
I was allways a Mopar fan.. and dreamed of owning one.. drove em a lot..
But I actually only owned GM.. not that it was my preference re Muscle.. but I also had a fondness for styl and... comfort Something that most of Chryslers did not excel at.. at least not as compared to the big GM rides I owned.

Great shots of a very nice (cloned) car.
13.5:1 compression, wow. My old car knocks a bit even on 91 octane if I forget a bottle of octance booster (and mine's 'only' 11:1). Can't imagine what they use in this, other than racing fuel (mmmm, the smell of that when the cars rumble by...).

Can't imagine what they use in this, other than racing fuel (mmmm, the smell of that when the cars rumble by...). Does anyone remember the smell of hot Castrol R?
EDIT: Racing fuel here is now $4.50 a gallon. The price will probably drop after the Dream Criuse next month so the gas stations can empty their tank for the Winter..
