So I've decided to make a logo to put on my photos so that people will start to notice my work...

Here's my first idea... please honestly critique! I will keep revising it until I get it perfect.

I like the logo. However, I think your premise that a catchy logo will have make your work noticed is flawed.

One suggestion - do you have a URL in case someone wants to see more?

Exactly what I was thinking.

Logo-wise, it's not too bad. If you decided to "go big" and have a few shirts embroidered, I think your design is too complicated.

Having a small stack of business cards with your website/contact info would be a better choice. I wouldn't put a logo on any print for sale or otherwise. ;)

Do you have your domain name yet? If so, could you put some of your work on Flickr (or whoever) and point the domain to that while your work on your website?

Logos with a lot of detail like 'Hikin Mike' said will cause problems when being printed on different media. It may look okay on the web, but when scaled down to business card size, it may not reproduce as well.

Also don't know how necessary the initials are in the pink circle area, I have feel they have been put there just for the sake of it. (you don't need to say the same thing twice, especially with something as small as a logo)

Apart from that the type underneath seems fine, and the colour scheme works well. Perhaps having those leaf things bigger in the circle instead?

hope this helps :)

i dont really get photographers and their cursive logos.. Anyway since the flowers are in the circle, seems suggest that you do flowers related photos? Here's a idea, think of an symbol or feature that can be visually defined in simplicity terms that define your personality. Then I may assist you in directing the visual of the symbol in the logo.

I like your logo a lot! Simple, yet real creative. It's perfect! Do add your url when you get one! :)

I like it, though I would encourage you to experiment with different colors. The rose color will work very well in some instances, but not in others. Part of the strength that you want to be looking for in a log is how well it does, black on white, and the reverse.

I like it. I'm curious how it would look without the circle.

I'm a fan of circular logos (see mine) so I like this one. I would like to see it without the km initials in the circle, everything else the same.
