And it's a very nice, sharp lens. AF seems very fast.

I picked up a used copy from a seller on FM, and the front element had a small mark. It doesn't show up in any images, so I'm happy with that. Now all I need to do is find a good model.

Good luck with the new lens, Not that you'll need it with that lens. Look forward to some shots. That lens is still on my want list.:-)

I recently purchased one of these and it certainly lives up to the hype. Solidly built and very fast AF make it a pleasure to use

Have any pictures to share? I've heard great things about this lens.

When i read this thread title, I was expecting to see a photo when I opened it up. Heck I even kept re-loading the page. :)

Buze, that is an awesome picture!
It also reminds me of one of the (rarely mentioned) improvements of the 20D that I like so much vs the 10D and 300D... it has 1/8000s max shutter, so ND filters are rarely needed ;)

Just one where I'm working on lighting technique; I posted this elsewhere:

I'm still teaching myself how to light things, and was probably being a little aggressive in trying to shoot the highly reflective Razr next to the matte finish Whitney Wolverine (repro of 1950's 22LR pistol). Sort of a "Buck Rogers meets the 21st century" idea. Image was cropped and the WB switched to Tungsten from the raw. I used a pair of 500w tungsten hot lights bounced off of white unbrellas to light the items. Correctly lighting the combination of the matte finish and the polished finish has me at a bit of a loss.

Shot at 1/5 sec, f7.1, ISO 200 with EF 85mm f1.8
