Nice Shot of a nice bird!
They come through mogration and occasionly stop at my feeder here in Ottawa. Always love the look and crisp bold patterns!

Thanks all, it's one of the few bird pictures I've managed to capture that I've been pleased with.

Beautiful bird and wonderful shot, Airedale! These are seen only very rarely in Arkansas so I'm jealous that you have one at your backyard feeder.
BTW, speaking of backyard feeders, would that be you we see reflected above the bird's head in the feeder bottle? Clever way to get your portrait on the net! :)

No, I doubt it. I think it's the bird's reflection. I actually shot this through a glass window.

Thanks all, it's not perfect, but it's definitely one of the best bird shots I've managed so far. I just hope I get to see one again, for another chance.
