Maybe I don't get the excitement in your "discovery"
F1 car going through a medium (maybe slowish) corner, good light, in the middle of the afternoon and F8 @ 1/500th sec with ISO 100 is such a revelation - how?
Pretty basic setting I would have thought.

what I find intriguing are the complete informations, Photographer, Agency, when he did the shot, what have used for the conversion and the lens
And I didn't get excited by f8 1/500s mate ;),
it's VERY unusual to find the EXIF intact on a site like Autosport, it's a little sneak peak in the photographer's day
