Hi guys,

I'm trying to learn about taxes... I am completely clueless when it comes to taxes.
I want to know what I should be aware of, what I can deduct, what I cant...
I have google'd some of my questions but I was wondering if there are any recommended sources you guys know. I don't want the "free 15 min video.. $39.99 for the rest of video/article"
I've never been interested in them, so its about time I man up abit and learn whats going on with the world... cause according to my paychecks.. taxes are there taken away.. lol

I'd rather start early and know what I can do throught-out the year to help me in the end..

any suggestions.. websites.. videos.. ebooks.. are welcome. thanks!

The tax code is about 400 pages and accountants have to take seminars yearly to keep up, and you want answers on a photo board? There are better resources out on the net than the potentially wayward advice you might get here.

for starters, try filling out your 1040 by hand rather than turbotax et al. just reading all the instructions (except 1040EZ) should teach you most of what you probably need to know.

I think it is way too complicated and would take up way too much of my time. I pay an accountant to do it for me.
