I thought this setup would be too heavy for my traveller.....WRONG! gitzo does it again

Traveller GT1550, Kirk QR clamp, RRS panning base and RRS Nodal Slide....holds my gripped D7 and 24-70 no bother at all!.....(not as solid as my manfrotto 055 legs but pretty darn good

if in doubt about the solidity of the Gitzo travellers....don't be, they are superb!

Oh no way its too heavy! I use the same setup with a Markins head on my Gitzo 1541T legs!

I beg to differ....rock solid and small enough to be in my bag when I need it.....guess its horses for courses, different strokes for different folks etc etc. ;-)

all said , I will be upgrading the gitzo ball for a RRS bh-40 sometime.

I think he was agreeing with you :{)# "No way it's too heavy" => "There's no way it'll be too heavy".

Yea umm... seeing as how I own a similar setup I was of course in total agreement. The traveler Gitzos are stronger and more stable than the most common top end Manfrotto setups, so of course it can handle a pano setup! Who told you otherwise?

Ah, sorry, glad you agree....I love the gitzo!

first panos (back garden working out nodal points etc) were really encouraging.....going to try some landscapes next...I just love the variety of things we all do with our photo gear :-)
