Before the Storm - C&C Please

Captured a local house, yes this is a persons house, on the ripe of a storm.

Is it just me, or does HDR really make image quality terrible in some situations. Perhaps its my XT's 8MP thats giving me low quality result. With that said, let me know what you think of this shot.

I would have liked to see more of the approaching storm. Was that to camera right? If you had moved camera left, could you have eliminated that tree/bush that blocks the view of the house and possibly picked up more of the incoming storm?

Good thought Chris! Unfortunately, moving over more would have revealed their cars in the drive way. I felt it necessary to eliminate them with the trees on either side.

Good idea. Just keep tweaking it in PM and PS to get that exact ominous feel the scene gave you when you saw it.
Regarding IQ I have a sense that PM does a better job when it has more exposures, especially five over three, so long as each one is just as critically sharp and aligned as you can manage and low iso.

The right hand corner of the deck area seems oof but other then that a great location.
