G11 and Slik Tripod

To anyone using the Slik Sprint Pro II GM Tripod with Ballhead with a Canon G11:

Are you satisfied with it?

Is it stable enough?

Back when I was using my D70 as my main SLR I used one of the even lighter SLIK tripods and was able to get by. The only time I had to worry about vibration was on particularly long exposure shots. Considering you're scenario is a lighter camera on stronger tripod, you should be fine.
Have you considered taking your camera to a local store and trying the tripod? The specs on that B&H page say it's good for a 4.5lb which is considerably more that the G11 weighs.

I'd love to go to a camera store and see one' but, like many towns, we have only one decent camera store and they don't carry it.

It's nothing heavy duty, but it looks like this will work for my purposes.

I just bought this slik for my sony HV5X, it will work for sure for your G11. It can even support my canon 5dm2

Mine arrived yesterday. It's a great fit for the G11.
