I'm trying to help my landlady with a problem. She is using an old version of Adobe Elements 2.0 on her computer, which runs WinXP SP3. Very recently when she downloaded photos from her camera onto the computer, it suddenly started saving not only the photo, but also another file as a tmp. For example, one of her photos is named daffs004.jpg which is saved as that name. However, also saved in that same folder at the same time is daffs004.jpg~RF36Q05457.tmp. Most of those .tmp files cannot be deleted, although I did find a workaround for that. I thought it might be the psicon.dll file, and changed that to psicon.dll.old but it made no difference.
I have done search after search on the 'Net using different terms, and can find nothing at all about this happening. In desperation I am posting here in hopes of finding an answer, or at least some guidance. My apologies if this request is not appropriate for this site.
