Hey guys. I would like to shoot a lot of stills for timelapse use, more specifically, HDR timelapse. My question is, should I use full 18MP RAW or JPEG? or should I decrease the megapixel size since I will be dropping the image size for each suitable for timelapse anyway.
Thanks ahead :)

In my opinion you might as well just shoot small jpegs. You don't need the extra exposure latitude of a RAW if you are going to bracket to make HDRs. And like you said, you will need to decrase the file size to make it suitable as a movie, so you don't really need all 18MP.
Good luck!

From experience, small Jpeg is more than sufficient. Just make sure you get your white balance right. Depending on exactly what you're shooting and how fast its moving, you may experience a lot of subject movement in the three (or more) exposures that you're looking to combine.
