You gotta be quick

Right you are, lest we miss perfect moments like that one. Great capture!

Lovely capture Phil, there's a number of great elements going on well seen. I also think the 'tad underexposed' comment is missing the point of the sharing of this picture!
Roger.

I know you get lots of really great photos but for me a capture like this would make my day!

I like the little bit darker feel of this photo. But it's the capture of a day...or month

Push the contrast and that should do it. Love the composition - what a great shot!

A real charmer.
I'd have to agree with you; you do have to be quick with the camera to catch these moments.

Cheers

I can't add to the comments above, but I had to comment on this picture. This is just a lovely picture. I like the way the little girl is looking over her shoulder.

I keep coming back to this photo. If I didn't know better I would think you had taken photos of our grandson but if you had done them they would undoubtedly be better. Shadows, etc are not good but these were grab shots.

Thanks for input

However

Exactly what do you mean by 'shadow's etc?' not good??

I beg to differ.

You can worry a picture to death after the event but unless you are there at the time it is taken you dont know the circumstances.

I can do all I want to enhance the pic etc in photoshop or similar but I dont feel the need.

I sold many copies of this print to my clients -they are not worried about 'shadows' or 'exposure' but are delighted that the children are captured in the way they are.

While it is nice to set up shots with great lighting etc sometimes ,as you say yourself you have to grab the shot.
