Last weekend was the 2010 Somerset Stages, yet another dusty rally.
Cracking day out managed to see 3 stages in total one which had 2 runs up the Porlock Toll road.

Some photos from the event,

Excellent shots, but that graphic is way too intrusive.

Not that bad a watermark compared to others Jon, youve got to protect your snaps.....
Great set again, is that tarmac stage on a hillclimb ?

Can't quite get a decent print with it there? :P
Thanks Tom, It is used twice on the event every year, It is the Porlock Toll Road which is closed especially for the rally. Want it to run downhill, been waiting years!

I think you could still protect your work with something less intrusive, but to each his own.

Really liking the action you've captured in 1,2,3,4 & 7 not sure about 5 & 8 though, maybe a bit too static ? Watermarks fine btw I don't find it intrusive, :)

There isn't a single image in this thread that is spoiled by the logo.

A fine set there Jon, either the Proton or the flying Corsa for me if i were forced to pick a favourite.

Thanks both,

Yes agree with that, quite hard to photograph that angle with the cars blasting out away from the camera so needed a higher shutter speed to get the pin sharp shots and hope for lifting wheels etc for the sense of speed.

Thanks Geoff, glad you don't think they are spoilt by the logos.

Hi Jon,
Sorry mate, these have gone back to looking dark again, and very very static, I understand you have to have a bit of a high shutter speed with the action you get, but im sure you could drop it a bit, its really taking away from the shots in my opinion. I think with a little more motion in the whelkls and a slight mess about in PS, the Perez shot could be real nice.
Cheers
