Nice, especially with a 'crap' lens! Great heat haze from the afterburner

Thanks! I was quite surprised how well this one came out - it's one of the best I have ever got with my 75-300! :D

I think we can all concentrate too much on the last 2% of image when its the picture taker that counts! I hve some great images from my 'compromise' hyperzoom. Still like to get some nice glass though!
Since this seems to be a UK-heavy thread, if you are interested have a look at this thread..

Agreed!- too much pixel counting - not enough soul - and I'm not afraid of dust either ;)
Will have a look at that thread - cheers :)

BigDan 230 were from sunday only in raw but havent had time to have a closer look apart from the sukhoi, i shot about the same on friday in jpeg but only got a couple of keepers. im thinking raw is the way forward can save more. taken on the 100-400L, i had some fun with the lens but it does cause some bad dust
love the B1 shot there Zwitter

Managed to get a couple of sharp ones, if not photographicaly inspiring, with my 75-300 IS USM on a 20D. I really must invest in some quality L glass. I was almost impressed as much by the photographic gear I saw at the show as I was by the show. Some people have TOO much money.

Join the club, mate. I have exactly the same lens+camera and I'm deeply envious of all the lovely sharp L-glass shots I see everywhere
Still, I got a couple of half-decent shots:

a couple more... pity about the last Red Arrow - if only it'd been sharp, it'd have been a nice shot.
