La Roux @ the Thebby

I shot this show at the last minute as Aaron (fellow photog for Rip It Up http://www.ripitup.com.au/) was down to shoot but had a last minute engagement he couldn't get out of. Not being a La Roux fan, but being a Thebby fan I knew the lighting would provide some great photo opps. I was not wrong. The stage was awash in beautiful gelled light plus the all important front spot lighting hitting faces perfectly!!

La Roux did nothing to win another fan however. I found her performance lacked any real effort or enthusiasm, her timid voice often hardly being audible over the (barely changing) synth beats.

On the last one, I'd try to get a bit more detail in the reds though.

I thought we lost you (user is banned from the forums) and almost made a plea to a mod to let you back in. This set is an example of why. No clue who the performer is but this is such a great set.

Gosh didn't realise that she was that big a musician to be travelling abroad etc. Now if you know the British programme The Bill and was a fan from way back her real mum is June Ackland!

Think she's only had two hits here in the UK and can actually think of only one.

Yeah, she is on mainstream radio in the US, but not super well known.

hey britt, groovin the moo is pretty far from adelaide, but lif anyone is headed there look out for the Funkoars - and lock up your daughters too!!! haha!

teagn and sarah are playing here this week but im not shooting it. (at this point anyway)

What Raw converter?

IF LR: Try the HSL tab or the "Camera calibration" sliders ;)
