I was at Turtle Pond in Concord today hanging out with a family of Canada Geese who have grown to accept me, largely due to my always bringing them Post Honey Bunches Of Oats Cereal Bars (banana nut flavor). All of a sudden I saw a Seaplane make a couple of low passes over the pond. Then it touched down. It was a pilot carrying a family of three from upstate Maine to Marlow, NH. He made the emergency landing on this small pond due to severe weather ahead (thunder storms).
I helped the pilot dock and the family of three still needed a ride from Concord to Marlow (45 miles one way). So, I drove them in my trusty 4 Runner and the grateful dad made a $100.00 donation, to the 20D for yours truly fund.:D
