I took these photos of a couple of young Kestrels, earlier this summer, before they were fully fledged.

They were located near the Fletcher Wildlife Garden in central Ottawa.

The second one almost looks like its calling for help! Nice photos...

Nice shots.. the first one the bottom kestrel appears to be looking right at you!

How do you find the XT and Bigma combination?? I like the sound of both but wonder if they balance well given small size of the XT?

Everyone, thanks for all of your comments. I don't think that you can equate "balance" between an 11 oz camera body and a 4 lb lens.;)

The XT is fine for me and I love the Sigma's magnification, quality and price (especially as I bought it on eBay). I was using a Manfroto tripod with it almost exclusively but have switched to a Manfroto monopod and shoulder brace with good results.
