Flat Track Racing.

The Equestrian Center in City of Industry, east of Los Angeles has been having trouble making ends meet. To boost their coffers, they have leased their pavilion to flat track motorcycle racing. Every Wednesday night. It is fun, but about the worst shooting imaginable: setting sun, mercury vapor lights, high ASA, wide aperture (unforgiving DOF), fast moving (in and out of the unforgiving DOF), you get the idea. Oh, and lets not forget large machines without brakes hurling at you.

Here is one shot, two version here. The top is a Midnight Sepia post process. Below is more how it came out of the camera. I think that the MS lends itself to the color palate of the environment. Agree? Any other thoughts? Either about this shot and the processed version.

Also, help from someone experienced in this type of chaotic shooting environment in general.
