hey everyone, ive been away from the forum for awhile now, but getting back into photography again, thank goodness, anyways i have to take some shots of a 2010 dodge challanger rt this weekend, the car is plum crazy in color with white stripes down teh sides, beautifull car and i really want to do it justice, the catch is the car has to be photographed on the dealers lot, i do have access to the keys and can move it and any other car on the lot to suite my needs, but really just looking for some advice on which angles to take shots at, hood up down, door open, lights on wipers on that sort of stuff, i also have access to the roof or the dealership and ladders if that will help, i think i will be able to use one wall of the building as a backdrop its a rough finished stone wall that i think will do the trick, anyways any insight will be greatly appreciated i know this is vague but would welcome all comments and your own pics to show me what you mean

Post up what camera body and lenses you'll be using. Those with good advice can probably tell you some specific ideas based on your tools.

Example, are your lenses large apertures? Can you get really shallow depth of field?

There is a recent thread on here of a similar color (same?) Challenger. It may give you some ideas on angles.

Here it is. If only we all had such a backdrop!

I did see that one as I was searching through. Unfortunatlu I nowhere near have the beautifull backdrop like that!!! Amazing scenery! I don't have much to work with for gear right now either. I am saving some money up for this hobby. Right now I have a rebel xti. And both kit lenses. Thanks for the reply!

Walk around the edges of the lot & be sure that you've looked at every possible background & note the direction that the early & late light will be coming from.

Got PS? See the links in my Sig and if all else fails, this: Need to remove a background from something? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=82876)

Without images, this thread belongs in "T Talk", so I'm moving it.

Thanks alot! I got thinking too, there is a very large grocery store accross the road that will have an empty parking lot with sunrise behind it. Maybe I can do something with that?

i went and checked out the location today, found that the parking lot i was going to use at the grocery store was really not the greatest, however down the road there is an old factory that dates back to 1870 that has a very large parking lot, the factory is in the background of the lot, i think it should make for interesteing shots, heres hoping anways!!
