I happened to be at this little zoo in Lansing (Michigan's capital) on Saturday, and as luck would have it, I had my 20D and 70-200/2.8L with me, so I was able to get a few shots of some of the critters:

Hi Ron,

Great Pics! I love the one of the Rhino. I grew up in Michigan and my grandparents used to take us to the Potter Park Zoo. I didn't even know it was still there. Thanks for the memories!

Thanks Becca! I like the rhino too. I had to shoot tight and crop because of the bars. I couldn't get a complete picture of him, so I figured I'd try for a "mood" portrait.

Until Saturday, I didn't even know the zoo was there at all. We were invited to a family gathering that was supposed to be some kind of picnic at this park. I didn't know until we got arrived that there was a zoo.
