I've been looking at reviews of popular photosharing sites and would like to know what other people use.
I'm basically looking for one that has unlimited storage and allows you to download the original file size. Looks like for example shutterfly has unlimited storage and you can upload the original file however you can't download the original file or pic size after its been uploaded.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Flickr for me. Simple and easy to use, however I pay for a yearly fee for added features, like unlimited uploads and you can get the originals any time.

Flickr Pro account for me. They let you upload the full size images so its sort of another backup for your images as well.

I have been using MobileMe so far. Although I wouldn't recommend it just for photos - if you are already using it to synch your computer and iPhone though it works very well.

I've got Flickr Pro.
But as storage - I suppose the easiest thing would be to buy 2 2TB USB drives and keep a copy of the files on each...
(2TB is currently the largest available... no I don't have any - sadly :()

I've been using SmugMug for a couple of years and am very happy with what they offer. If you want to customize the look and feel of your site get a Power User account.

Picasa is nice. 1 gig free, 5 bucks a year for 20 gigs. Right now I have two free accounts.

Flickr pro account (simply a paidaccount as opposed to free) is about one of the best for uploading and sharing images on the net. You can also limit other users access to your images so that they can't download the fullsize versions.
The only time flickr limits you is when you use a free account - then you can't see more than your last 200 uploads (the others are still kept and will sill show on links as normal, you just can't navitage to them in flickr) nor can you access your fullsized originals (if they are overa certain size).
If you want a place better suited toward selling prints I think smugmug does a better job of that asepct if that is what you need.
The only upgrades from that I think are to setup and pay for your own upload space online and make your own website.

I use smugmug, I love the layout, easy navigation and all the features like watermarking and right click protect (for pro accounts). I wouldn't be without it.

Remember though even though I can't rightclick I can still get your shot - I just have to search through my net cache on the computer to find it - or use the powers of print screen ;)

yeah i know, if someone is determined enough they will print screen and clone out my watermark. At least it wouldn't be full res.

Picasa; both because I can upload full file photos that I want to share, and because I can upload low res files for general viewing. I also like the format of the albums, and the software is very usefull too.

I doubt that people who will screen print or use other means to snag a picture are going to print it and frame it. They'll probably just stick it in a powerpoint or in some blog or something. Not to say it isn't still wrong, of course, but it seems to me that if they wanted something nice to put on the wall that they'd order a print properly.
