Hi troopers. Just trying this upload facility to see that (if) it works okay. Not used to the small sizes of files (800x800) so will have to do a lot of re-sizing to share with y'all. This shot is one I took a couple of years ago with my old EOS500N, 75-300 Canon Zoom Lens, available light, ISO800 film pushed to 1600, handheld from about 35 metres away from the stage. Printed, scanned and tweaked through Photoshop. It's one of Australia's top male performers - John Farnham - on his 'Last Time Tour'.

PS - I went to Manage Attachments in the options below and posted my shot. Hope it worked. Here goes......

Nope - no photo. Damn! Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong, or, tell me what to do right? Surely it can't be that damned hard.

Hi FotOz, When you 'Manage Attachments', did you browse for your photo in your photo path and clicked upload? Also the photo size had to be less than 100kb in my experience.
Hope this helps,

I've overlooked the size issue several times. If the image is over 100K the upload function returns an error that might not be obvious. The image then has to be resized and uploaded again. Of late I have been using the save for web function in photoshop and adjusting accordingly - but I don't like it because it doesn't upload the exif data.....
And welcome to the forums. I'm looking forward to some more images from your part of the world.

Thanks guys. Yes, I followed the bouncing ball - uploaded from my DB, making sure the file was within the limits (very small aren't they?) but received no reject slip. I'll give it a try later. Have to transfer some truck photos to a memory stick and go to town to get them printed for a client to pick what he wants for an advertising brochure.
Catcha.

It worked this time. I had my first attempt since I started this thread and she works a treat. Mind you I had to reduce a 5Mb shot to 800x640 to get a win. Have a look at "Feeding Time At The Zoo" in Animals and Nature.

Finally solved the problem. I use my e-mail program to download and send myself about 20 shots at a time, and they all reduce to well below the maximum file size allowed and still have plenty of image size for here. I've just posted a heap in Animals/Nature. Cheers.
