But certainly close-up. You guys are so good I am a little hesitant to show you mine but Candy and Honey were all over my yard this past weekend. I am waiting for my 100mm macro to arrive and I took these with a 75-300 zoom at 5.6 ISO way up to max. as it was dark. Don't ya think they liked modeling?

While these aren't macro, they are close, as you said, but when you get that 100mm macro lens, I expect you'll be able to focus right in on one of their eyes, and THAT should be quite the treat to see. :D
Yes, They(Candy & Honey) look like they no problems at all with posing for the camera. ;)

You bet I am. Had to give up a Sigma 50 Macro that decided to stop working with my camera. Going strictly Canon from here on.
