Which bags are you bringing into shows? I started with a Crumpler Whickey and Cox backpack but it was too cumbersome so I switched to a Crumpler 7MDH which can hold way more - mine currently holds:

15mm fisheye
24-70
24-105
35 1.4
70-200 2.8
85 1.2
135 f2
blower, flash, off-camera cord, extra crap...

but with all of my gear it's pretty heavy so I don't always bring it and instead just throw my most likely needed lenses into my satellite bag - a Mountainsmith fanny pack. However, I've got a few festivals this summer and I'm thinking about the Think Tank Speed Belt system. What are most of you using?

i've been using a timbuk2 bike messenger bag for years. this typically holds 2 bodies (gripped) and 4-5 lenses.

for big festivals, i would think you would need even less lenses. sure, the bag gets heavy for a full days' work but i'm not crippled yet.

I expect to have full access at one of them, and I'll be expected to shoot some backstage shots with a flash, so I'll probably want to have a good amount of gear. I could leave the 35, 85, and 135 at home, but if I do I'll just miss them . Most likely I'll leave them in my car and grab them if needed.

I have a 7MDH and the Think Tank belt system. For festivals the belt system rules. I also have a Think Tank pack as well which I use for some jobs but that's more for promo stuff.

the think tank belt system looks good from an ergonomic perspective (puts the weight on yr hips and not shoulders), but it looks like it's limited to 2 cameras w/ lenses, plus maybe one other lens or flash. likely good enough for festivals, but then again i don't have a problem carrying that w/ my bag. i think i'll save the $200.

i use the 7MDH and it fits:

5D
16-35
70-200
580EX II
spare batteries
spare cards
OCC

plus room for another 580EX II if i am needing it, but yes, by the end of a festival it is kinda heavy :(

the most tired i ever was at a show was last year's Scion Fest...4 stages, ~30 bands, 13 hr on my feet, carrying two cameras, 4 lenses, and a flash.

I keep mine very limited.
I wear my camera, bring in my shootsac to hold my lenses. I usually take three lenses, including my fisheye, and I'm set.
I'm small. I just can't carry around a lot of equipment and I hate to worry about it or worry that it's going to slow me down.
