Time to Vote for Volume 4 of the Great POTN Photo Book

Wow there were some great images submitted for Volume 4! Thanks to everyone who participated.

There were almost 700 images submitted this year. What a great community effort for a great community project. Everyone should be proud; we are! The only down side is that we can’t publish them all. Like Volume 3, there will be approximately 312 photos in the book; so you can see that your task will be tough.

As in the previous three volumes, the image in each chapter with the most vote will be the signature shot and used as the introduction to the chapter. There will also be two shots that will be smaller than the signature shot but larger than the regular images.

Below are links to all the Chapter Polls.

Please read the first post in each poll. It will tell you the number of images to vote for in that particular share. In the larger shares you will be able to vote for 8 or 10 images, and in the smaller shares, the votes are limited to 3 or 5.

We must say it is going to be hard to narrow down the selections.

Wow, I'm amazed at how many of mine were accepted (of course, I'm not saying which ones). There are some amazing photos in there, and lots of 'stiff competition'.

I believe this is half of the photos that will make it to the book. The rest are selected by the book committee. Someone with more knowledge may be able to shed more light. There should be a more complete collection of images in about two weeks.

The entire book team decides the second half of the images with the committee breaking any ties.

There usually is an announcement once all the images have been compiled to each gallery.

Yes. You will get a chance to see the entire page that your image is on, text and all, to try and eliminate any errors.
